Premium Full Service Ceremony: $500
In addition to a complimentary one-hour, no-obligation interview in Oneonta,
this service includes unlimited consultations by phone and e-mail; a
personalized ceremony lovingly crafted, using your love story, your values and
beliefs; suggestions for readings, rituals, and vows -- or guidance in writing
your own vows. Ceremony length: 20-30 min. PA system available as needed.
Ceremony performance that will be warm and personal! Coordination of
rehearsal and keepsake ceremony included. ($450 without rehearsal.)

Longer ceremonies, 30-45 minutes, include more personal details and extra
readings and rituals. Please inquire about sample ceremonies of this length.
Simple Personalized Ceremony: $350-$400
Usually a home, park, or restaurant wedding; small wedding party (usually one
attendant each); shorter ceremony: 10-15 min. Rehearsal might be conducted
without me or may not be needed. Keepsake ceremony included. Call to see if

Short and Sweet - $250
Shorter ceremonies usually take place on a weekday, or may take place on a
weekend if booked two weeks or less from the date. Pre-written with a few
personal touches - about 10 minutes; no rehearsal.
Choice of ring and wedding vows, plus one reading.
Keepsake ceremony included.
I Do! I Do! - $150
Elopements and quick short-notice ceremonies
Pre-written 10-minute ceremony. May take place at a park or your home in
Oneonta. I will provide space in my home or garden, plus a
witness/photographer, for an additional $50.
Personalized Wedding Consultation and Custom-Written Ceremony
to be performed by another officiant - $300
This ceremony will be written exclusively for YOU from the information I glean from phone
interviews, questionnaires, and e-mail communication. It will also reflect your personalities
and love in the vows you choose or write, the readings you choose; memorials, and rituals
that can be as unique and individual as you wish them to be!
Travel expenses: 55 cents a mile, plus $15 an hour for travel between Oneonta and
your venue. Long distance weddings involve a lot of extra time because I have to allow for
the possibility of traffic jams (a major accident made me 30 minutes late for one wedding
even though I had allowed an extra hour to get there!) and for finding venues I haven't been
to before (I have a GPS, but sometimes it leads me on a Wild Goose Chase).
What do you get for your money?
From the point of view of a ceremony guest, it may very well look like the
officiant is only providing 20 to 30 minutes of service to the family. In reality, the ceremony is
just the final result of many hours of work. Please consider the work and expense involved:

- Proofreading, private read-throughs, updates, and revisions
- Editing ceremony, readings, and vows
- Coordinating schedules of participants, especially if rehearsals are involved
- Research for particular ceremony options (current and over the years
- Travel time and waiting time before rehearsal
- Preparation of rehearsal notes
- Coordination of rehearsal and ceremony
- Ensuring all participants understand their responsibilities and
- Coordinating the processional and recessional order
- Providing cue sheets for musicians/DJ and readers
- Travel time and waiting time before the ceremony
- Calming nervous participants before the ceremony, if needed
- Making sure everything is set up for ceremony rituals
- The ceremony itself presented in a warm, professional manner
- Provision of PA system that ensures guests will not miss a word!
