Long-Distance Wedding Ceremonies
Custom Wedding Ceremonies
Couples, guests, and family love the wedding ceremonies that I write especially for each
bride and groom. After each wedding I hear comments about how meaningful the ceremony
was; how unique, how personal.  I love being able to provide these exclusive weddings to
make each couple's important day more memorable. Unfortunately, I can only perform one
wedding each week-end -- at the most, two. And I can only perform ceremonies within a
reasonable distance from my home in Oneonta, New York.

Because of this, I am expanding the scope of my services to include consultations with
couples and their wedding professionals to write ceremonies that will be performed by
another officiant who may be a judge, Justice of the Peace, or a mayor. An eloquent friend
or family member can become licensed at:
Universal Life Church.
Make sure you check with your City Hall regarding the legality of the license in your state.

More often than not, I have met bride and groom for the first time at the rehearsal. We
communicate via phone and e-mail while I work on the ceremony, and we feel that we know
each other before we ever meet in person. I can write ceremonies for weddings that will
take place in other parts of the  country the same way.

Other officiants and JP's will offer to create the ceremony for you, but theirs will likely
be a "fill-your-names-in-the-blank" affair, perhaps with a choice of readings, vows, and
rituals. Some officiants will say that they spend an hour writing your personal ceremony
after they gather the necessary information from you. I could not possibly write your
ceremony in an hour because I am so detail-oriented, I will send it back to you multiple
times for your approval and continue to ask questions and rewrite sections until all three
of us are completely satisfied with the results. I will also communicate with your chosen
officiant to make sure he or she feels comfortable performing the ceremony.

The fee for a long-distance wedding ceremony is $300.00.
